DES MOINES, Iowa (April 8, 2024)—Today, EMC Insurance and the EMC Insurance Foundation announced their charitable giving and community involvement impact for 2023. Since its establishment in 1989, the Foundation’s charitable giving totals more than $31 million, with the addition of last year’s contributions. EMC also funds numerous community projects and initiatives each year using corporate dollars to provide an even greater impact.

Our mission is to improve lives, and supporting our communities is one of the key ways we demonstrate this,” said Scott Jean, EMC President and CEO. “Through our philanthropy and volunteerism, our company and our team members are helping create brighter futures in our communities, and that’s something we’re exceptionally proud of.”

EMC’s 17 branch offices also contributed greatly to their communities through sponsoring events, and hosting fundraisers and donation drives to support local nonprofit organizations. A few examples include:
The Kansas City, Mo. office dedicated their time to support KC Pet Project. Their efforts cleaning dog kennels and making canine enrichment treats within the shelter contributed to the well-being of the more than 15,000 animals in the organization’s care.
