DES MOINES, Iowa (Sept. 12, 2023)–EMC Insurance Companies (EMC) has earned DCC Elite® certification from Deep Customer Connections, an honor awarded to only four property and casualty insurance carriers in 2024. This recognition represents exceptional performance in, and commitment to, ease of business experienced by independent agents.
DCC Elite certification requires two levels of qualification. First, each carrier must demonstrate mastery in ease of business, verified by Deep Customer Connections using standardized metrics and competitive benchmarks drawn from each carrier’s own agent network. This includes seeking anonymous feedback from each of the company’s agents. Second, eligible carriers must pledge to implement specific strategies to further improve their performance in ease of business.
“We’re proud to be on the very short list of DCC Elite carriers in 2024,” said Scott Jean, EMC President and CEO. “Our business is built on relationships – and we work very hard to strengthen ties by listening to and understanding our agents’ needs, and innovating and implementing changes that help serve them and our shared customers better.”
“While 98% of agents continue to rate ease of business with carriers as a critical factor in their placement decisions, last year most property and casualty carriers lost ground in terms of meeting their agents’ expectations, especially in terms of underwriting responsiveness and claims handling,” explains Jason Bogart, CEO of Deep Customer Connections. “DCC Elite certification recognizes carriers that have a strategic commitment to mastering ease of business with independent agents.”
